We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-motivated individual to join our Pre-Op Administration Team. We aim to provide an A-class service, going above and beyond, putting our patients first to ensure a smooth and efficient journey. As a team, we strive to always empower each other and work as one.
This may be your first employment within the NHS or you may already be working in a healthcare environment but feel ready for a change! We have experienced colleagues in our Team so you will be fully supported in your role.
You will provide a first point of contact for all staff and visitors contacting or attending the Pre-Operative Assessment units at both Royal Preston and Chorley Hospital, acting in a professional and courteous manner at all times.
You will possess excellent organisational and communication skills, ability to use your own initiative, work within a team and be able to work under pressure to ensure targets are achieved.
As part of the booking services team you will be expected to show flexibility and provide cover, if required, at times of annual leave or extended sickness for colleagues.
You will join a welcoming and motivated Team, all of whom do their very best to provide an excellent administrative service to our patients.
Great office and IT skills will be essential to ensure tasks are completed in a timely manner.
We have 10,000 fantastic people working hard to deliver quality services to our patients. Whatever your role, you help look after 370,000 people in our local area & give specialist care to 1.5 million people across Lancashire & Cumbria.
Working with us gives you the knowledge and sense of pride that every activity you do genuinely does make a difference to support our patients & staff, ensuring we keep thriving & delivering outstanding healthcare right across our local towns.
You’ll have access to varied development opportunities, learn new skills, meet fab people & do things you’d never have done. You’ll learn about working in a hospital, interacting with people from all different roles to build skills & enhance your career path.
You’ll make an impact, be challenged to think differently, be bold & help innovate to keep improving things. Everything we do centres around patient care and enhancing their experience which means your role is pivotal and something really to be proud of.
Perform an ambassadorial role, representing the Pre-op Department administration service acting in a professional, courteous and customer-focused manner at all times.
Contact patients with bookings information, liaise with other departments to schedule patients as appropriate, answer telephone and email queries, take messages, direct where appropriate, meet and greet and provide assistance directing visitors to the department to appropriate locations.
