We're looking for a Domestic Assistant (Mobile) to join our team, helping to maintain safe, clean and welcoming healthcare environments across a number of NHS sites in Central Manchester.

About the role

Contract: Permanent
Salary: £12.92 per hour (£25,272 per annum pro rata)
Location: Manchester - Seymour Grove Health Centre
Hours: 15 hours per week, Monday to Friday 5pm 8pm

A Standard DBS check will be required.

A driving licence and access to own vehicle will be required, as you'll travel between multiple sites.

What You'll Be Doing

As a Domestic Assistant (Mobile), you'll play a vital role in supporting patient care by ensuring healthcare environments meet NHS National Cleaning Standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Maintaining high standards of cleanliness across healthcare facilities
• Carrying out legionella flushing procedures and accurately recording activity
• Safely handling and disposing of waste
• Using and maintaining cleaning equipment, including vacuums, floor machines and steam cleaners
• Ensuring compliance with COSHH requirements
• Reporting equipment faults through NHSPS systems
• Replenishing cleaning supplies and consumables
• Supporting a safe, hygienic and welcoming environment for patients, visitors and colleagues

What we're looking for

We welcome applications from people with experience in:

• Previous cleaning, domestic, housekeeping or facilities experience (although this isn't essential)
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• The ability to work independently and manage your time effectively
• Good attention to detail
• An awareness of health and safety and infection prevention standards, or a willingness to learn
• A commitment to delivering excellent service and supporting patient care

Where You'll Work

You'll support a number of NHS sites across Central Manchester.

There may also be opportunities to provide cover at other nearby locations when required.
