Full job description

Join us in creating unforgettable experiences for students across Nottingham!

We're Trent Events, Nottingham Trent Students' Union's entertainment team, and we're looking for an enthusiastic, organised and customer-focused Events Supervisor to join our passionate team on a term-time basis.

At NTSU, we're committed to creating the best possible student experience and helping students feel connected to their university community. Trent Events plays a key role in bringing this to life through an exciting programme of events that build community, create lasting memories and enhance student life. As an Events Supervisor, you'll be at the heart of delivering these experiences.

Working across our three campuses, you'll support the planning, coordination and delivery of a diverse events programme, from club nights and live music to student-led events, private hires and major flagship experiences. You'll take a lead role on event nights, coordinating staff, performers, security and contractors to ensure events run safely, smoothly and deliver an exceptional customer experience.

You'll also supervise our student Events Assistant team, support rota planning and training, manage customer enquiries, oversee ticketing and event administration, and help maintain the high operational standards that make Trent Events successful.

Recent Trent Events activity has included performances from artists such as Lewis Capaldi, Sam Ryder, Lola Young and Marcus Mumford, alongside major student experiences including Trent Me Out, St Patrick's Day celebrations and Grad Ball.

The ideal candidate will have experience working in an events environment, along with experience supervising or coordinating a team. You'll be a confident communicator with excellent customer service skills, a proactive approach and the flexibility to work evenings, weekends and late nights as required.

This is an opportunity to make a real impact on student life at Nottingham Trent University. Whether coordinating large-scale live events, supporting student staff, or enhancing the customer experience, you will directly contribute to NTSU's strategic commitment to building community, supporting student wellbeing and creating memorable experiences for our members

This is a permanent role working 37.5 hours per week across 33 weeks of the year, aligned to the University's academic calendar. As a contracted employee, you'll benefit from a competitive annual leave entitlement, union closure days, ongoing training and development opportunities, flexible working arrangements, free eye tests and a range of additional staff benefits.

  • Deadline to apply is 23:59 on 23 August 2026. Interviews are expected to be held on 3 and 4 September.

Pay: £18,628.00 per year

  • Additional leave
  • Bereavement leave
  • Casual dress
  • Company events
  • Company pension
  • Enhanced paternity leave
  • Flexitime
  • Free flu jabs
  • Sabbatical
