Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated Kitchen Porter (KP) to join our team in. The successful candidate will play a vital role in maintaining cleanliness and organisation within the kitchen environment, supporting culinary operations and ensuring high standards of hygiene. This position offers an excellent opportunity for individuals interested in gaining experience within the hospitality industry, particularly in food preparation and kitchen operations. Duties

  • Responsible for washing, cleaning, and sanitising dishes, utensils, pots, pans, and kitchen equipment to ensure a hygienic workspace.
  • Assisting with basic food preparation tasks under supervision, including peeling, chopping, and organising ingredients.
  • Supporting chefs and kitchen staff with organisational tasks to maintain smooth kitchen operations.
  • Ensuring the cleanliness of work surfaces, floors, and storage areas to meet health and safety standards.
  • Assisting with waste disposal and recycling procedures efficiently.
  • Restocking supplies as needed to ensure all kitchen areas are well-equipped during service hours.
  • Adhering to all health and safety regulations within the kitchen environment.

Experience

  • Previous experience in a restaurant, hotel, or hospitality setting is desirable but not essential; training will be provided.
  • Familiarity with food preparation, cooking processes, or culinary environments is advantageous.
  • Experience working in busy kitchens or serving roles demonstrates organisational skills and ability to work under pressure.
