Job Title: Warehouse Operative (Nights)
Reporting to: Warehouse Supervisors
Department: Warehouse & Supply Chain Team
L1 Starting Probation Salary (start training on days): £13.00 per hour (equivalent to basic £25,350 pa)
L1 Starting Probation Salary (move to training on nights): £13.62 per hour (equivalent to basic £26,559 pa)
L2 Development Salary: £14.33 per hour (equivalent to basic £27,938.24 pa)
L3 Working Knowledge Salary: £14.75 per hour (equivalent to basic £28,762.50 pa)
L4 Fully Operational Salary: £15.17 per hour (equivalent to basic £29,581.50 pa)*
*Opportunity to progress to a fully operational Warehouse Operative (Nights) role dependent upon training & development requirements being met.
About The Role
You will perform a range of Warehouse activities on a permanent night shift pattern (2200-0600, Monday to Thursday, and 2100-0500, Friday), 5 days per week (core hours 37.5 hours per week).*
*Initally your training will commence on day rotational shifts for approximately one month, after which you will then continue your training on the permanent night shift as stated above.
You will have a comprehensive knowledge of general warehouse activities, and will be safety focused within the Warehouse environment. You will contribute and support the continuous improvement activities within the Warehouse function. The key deliverable of the role is to support the Warehouse Supervisor and the wider team in all Warehouse operations.

- Support the Warehouse Supervisors at the daily team briefs and “run” with the tasks and information received.

- Be responsible for completing Near Miss reports, Incident Events and, Workplace Observations as required through EHS.
- Support accident and environmental non-conformance investigations in your area.
- Understand environmental impacts and the importance of control measures, ensuring that both yourself and your team adhere to them.
- Support energy and waste reduction activities.
- Support for RCA (Root Cause Analysis) and improvement activities: support technical countermeasures to prevent recurrence of Quality Events - this should also extend to maintenance activities.
- Actively support team decisions and challenge team members who do not; set aside own ideas or preference once choices have been made.
- Keep your finger on the pulse and record on EHS two workplace observations per week.
- Use your keen eye to complete GMP audits within your designated area.

Skills & Competencies

- A Counterbalance Fork Lift Licence is essential.
