Job Introduction

Female Waking Night Support Worker

Pay rate: £14.00 - £14.50 per hour
Shift pattern: Waking Nights - 21:00pm - 9:00am

We are looking for a caring, confident and proactive Female Support Worker to provide person-centred support to an articulate and engaging young man with ADHD and Autism who lives with his mum, step dad and dog in Bramcote, Nottingham. This role involves supporting them both at home and in the community, including transport to and from school.

He is verbal, bright and very articulate, with a strong personality and clear interests. They can sometimes struggle with motivation and benefit from encouragement and positive role modelling. They love swimming, football, online gaming like FIFA & aspire to become an influencer one day.

Your role will include:

  • Providing companionship and building a positive, trusting relationship
  • Supporting with motivation, routines and keeping busy
  • Encouraging participation in hobbies and interests
  • Transporting to and from school and activities
  • Supporting emotional regulation where needed
  • Providing supervision and reassurance during waking nights

What you'll bring

  • Experience in healthcare having supported Autism & ADHD
  • Experience motivating and reassuring the people you support
  • Comfortable supporting an individual who is filming or vlogging, offering encouragement when needed
  • Comfort working around animals and helping the person we support to look after them
