Job Introduction

Support Worker
Pay rate: £13.50

Contract: 36 Hours Days and Wake Nights

Shift Pattern: 08:00am – 20:00, 20:00pm – 08:00am

We are looking for compassionate, reliable, and enthusiastic Female Support Workers to join our dedicated team, providing 2:1 support during the day and overnight to a vibrant and outgoing young woman living independently in her own flat in Greater Manchester.

She has Autism and Global Developmental Delay, but these do not define or limit her. She enjoys an active and fulfilling lifestyle, with interests including shopping trips, having her nails done, attending nightclubs, and being involved in her local community.

Experience & Skills of a Support Worker:

  • Previous experience supporting adults with learning disabilities and/or autism.
  • A person-centred approach, with a genuine commitment to promoting independence, choice, and empowerment.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build positive and trusting relationships.
  • A proactive, flexible, and positive attitude, adapting support to meet individual needs and preferences.
  • A kind, patient, and compassionate nature, with a consistent and reliable approach to care and support.
  • The ability to remain calm and professional in a variety of situations.
  • A good understanding of professional boundaries and the importance of dignity, respect, and inclusion.
  • A willingness to support an active lifestyle and participate in community-based activities and social outings.
  • A strong team ethic and commitment to providing high-quality, consistent support.
