Full job description

A night shift job based in Manchester Chinatown. We are looking for an immediate start on role. This is a FRIDAY, SATURDAY & SUNDAY SHIFT ONLY with some spaces for weekday shifts as well. Typical hours are from 5PM - 2AM. You must be readily available for the weekends. You must be 18 or above to apply.

We are looking for a hard working person with a positive character. You should be ready to learn and willing to take on new challenges. You should be able to work under pressure and can deal with urgent situations.

Job Role:

  • Assist our head chef in all kitchen tasks
  • Prepare food ingredients to ensure smooth operation in the kitchen ahead of busy shifts
  • Complete food orders to a good and efficient standard
  • Maintain kitchen hygiene and cleanliness
  • Ensure kitchen and all food items are up to an excellent health and safety standard

A suitable candidate will be:

  • Able to work well in a fast-paced, and pressured environment.
  • Willing to learn.
  • Outgoing, friendly, and polite.
  • Great verbal communication skills.
  • Have a can-do attitude.
  • Comfortable handling various food ingredients
  • No experience required

Summary

As a Kitchen Assistant, you will be essential in maintaining our kitchen operation and support our Head Chef. This role requires strong communication skills, proactiveness and a commitment to food safety and hospitality. You will be responsible for making food orders, preparing ingredients, maintaining a clean and hygienic kitchen environment and communicating with our floor staff regarding orders. While no prior experience is necessary, your ability to manage time effectively and ability to work with the Head Chef will be key to your success. Join our team and help provide an excellent and efficient service for our customers in a vibrant karaoke bar setting.

Pay: From £13.50 per hour
