Full job description

We are looking for an enthusiastic and motivated individual to join our team as a Junior IT & Digital Operations Assistant at our office in Haslingden, Lancashire.

This is an excellent entry-level opportunity for someone who is confident with computers, has a genuine interest in technology and is keen to learn and develop new skills. The position would particularly suit a college or university leaver looking to gain valuable, hands-on experience in the IT industry, although no previous professional IT experience is required.

You will work directly alongside the Head of IT & Digital Operations, receiving practical training and gaining first-hand experience in the day-to-day management of a wide range of business-critical IT systems and digital services.

The role will involve assisting with a variety of technical and digital tasks, including managing and maintaining websites, monitoring servers and IT infrastructure, troubleshooting networking and VPN connections, supporting business software such as Sage, assisting with cybersecurity and system maintenance, and helping with SEO, automation and other digital projects.

You will also have the opportunity to learn about Linux and Windows servers, cloud hosting, virtualisation, networking, website development and emerging technologies, including artificial intelligence (AI).

Full training, support and guidance will be provided. We do not expect applicants to have experience in all these areas. We are looking for someone who is naturally comfortable using computers, enjoys problem-solving, pays attention to detail and is enthusiastic about learning new skills.

Above all, we value enthusiasm, reliability, initiative and a willingness to learn over formal qualifications or previous experience.

Working Hours: Monday to Friday, 8:30am–4:30pm, including a one-hour paid lunch break.

Pay: From £26,436.80 per year
