Full job description

Job Overview

We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Postnatal Midwife to provide expert care and support to mothers and their newborns during the crucial postnatal period. This role is about delivering home visits to mothers to support them in their postnatal needs.

Minimum 7 years UK midwifery experience

Duties

  • Conduct comprehensive postnatal assessments of mothers and newborns to monitor recovery and development
  • Provide evidence-based advice on breastfeeding, infant care, maternal health, and emotional well-being
  • Support mothers in managing physical discomforts, emotional changes, and parenting challenges
  • Educate new parents on safe sleep practices, hygiene, nutrition, and recognizing warning signs requiring medical attention
  • Maintain accurate documentation of assessments, interventions, and care plans in electronic health records
  • Offer emotional reassurance and practical guidance to foster confidence in new parents during their transition home

Skills

  • Minimum 7 years of UK experience as a Midwife
  • Excellent Communication skills to effectively educate and support families from diverse backgrounds
  • Exceptional Time management skills to prioritize tasks efficiently in a dynamic environment
  • Compassionate approach combined with a proactive attitude toward patient-centered care
