Why Hertility?
Hertility was born out of a need for preventative, personalised and dedicated expert healthcare across a woman’s hormonal lifespan. Hertility’s at-home diagnostic testing, telemedicine, treatments, prescriptions, and clinical services provide advanced insights into reproductive health, fertility decline, and the onset of menopause, as well as the diagnosis of 18 conditions. Hertility reduces diagnosis times for some conditions from nine years to six days.
Having done over 22 clinical studies and published in leading scientific journals and presented at over 25 National and International scientific and clinical conferences, Hertility is committed to expanding its research and clinical programmes, deepening our understanding of reproductive health and influencing policy.
By setting a new standard of scientific rigour and education in women’s health, we’re nurturing the Mother of all Movements. One powered by a new generation of women backing themselves, their bodies and their life choices, from menstruation through menopause. ️
Why You’ll Love This Role
We’re seeking a talented nurse with experience in fertility and / or gynaecology to join our team of Fertility and Hormone Advisers on a flexible, bank basis. In this role, you will conduct virtual consultations to provide advice and support for patients throughout whatever stage of their journey, whether they are planning for the future, actively trying, just curious or experiencing symptoms. The role is varied and also includes creating clinical letters and quality checking clinical reports. This is an ad-hoc role, so you'll have the flexibility to pick up work around other clinical commitments. If you’re passionate about making a difference in women’s health, this role is for you!
What You’ll Be Doing
-
Conduct remote clinical consultations with customers to review their lab reports, provide explanations, offer evidence based advice, next steps and referrals.
-
Provide reassurance and clear next steps to customers who have received potentially distressing results.
-
Quality check clinical reports for accuracy.
-
Keep accurate records of client interactions in line with professional practice standards.
-
Follow Hertility care pathways and protocols.
-
You will work in collaboration with a diverse medical team including, nutritionists and dieticians, nurses and midwives, menopause specialists, counsellors, GP, fertility specialists (MDs) and operations and research teams.
What We’re Looking For
You’ll thrive if you’re passionate about fertility and reproductive health and bring:
Registration: Required registration with the NMC or NMC plus NMBI is a bonus!
Relevant experience: At least 1 year of nursing experience in a fertility setting, with knowledge of fertility treatment pathways in the UK.
Nice to haves:
-
Knowledge and experience in gynaecology
-
Knowledge and experience in andrology
-
Experience with providing virtual consultations
Team Work: Strong collaboration skills and a proactive approach to working in a fast-paced, cross-functional team. Can act confidently within scope of practice and escalate as needed.
Availability: This is an ad-hoc, bank role - shifts are offered flexibly, based on your availability and our business need, so you can flex your hours up and down around other commitments. Shifts are likely to be Monday to Friday, during the day to start with. We're looking for someone who can respond promptly to shift requests and stay contactable once they've indicated their availability.
DBS Check: A valid Enhanced DBS check is required, and you'll need to be registered with the DBS Update Service.
Professional indemnity . You must hold and maintain independent personal professional indemnity insurance to cover all clinical acts and omissions (Company liability insurance does not cover individual practice).
Your Team
You will be working and reporting directly to our Clinical Services Manager Emily. You’ll also work with the customer service team, operations team, our Founders and across our whole business.
Our Culture & Values
At Hertility, we’re all about ovary-acting with purpose! We believe in a world where every womb has access to the healthcare it needs. We’re bold, focused, dependable and proud - lifting each other up, working with heart and staying true to our mission.
