Halloween Performer / Scare Actor – One-Night Event

Pay: £15.00–£18.00 per hour

Location: Applewood Countryside Park, Banham, Norfolk, NR16 2HE

Event date: Saturday 24th October 2026

Do you love Halloween, enjoy performing and have the energy to bring our spooky world to life?

We’re looking for enthusiastic performers aged 16+ to join the Spooky Crew at this year’s Halloween Spooktacular. Now in its fourth year, the event welcomes more than 800 guests for an evening of family-friendly frights, entertainment and fireworks.

From friendly, larger-than-life characters entertaining our littlest monsters to spooky characters creating thrills and surprises for braver guests, there are plenty of opportunities to get into character and join the fun.

No previous acting experience is required – full training will be provided. We’re looking for confident, enthusiastic people who are comfortable staying active and in character throughout the evening.

As part of the Spooky Crew, you will:

  • Engage and interact with children and families in the Friendly Frights Experience
  • Create spooky thrills and surprises for braver guests on the Wicked Haunts Trail
  • Bring Halloween characters to life through performance and interaction
  • Wear costumes, theatrical make-up and, where required, masks
  • Perform indoors and outdoors, whatever the weather

KEY DATES & PAY

Auditions: Wednesday 30th September, 6:30pm–9:00pm

Unpaid

Rehearsal: Sunday 11th October, 3:00pm–6:00pm

Pay: £15.00 per hour

Halloween Spooktacular event: Saturday 24th October

Available shifts will be 3:00pm–10:00pm or 6:30pm–10:00pm, depending on your allocated character.

Pay: £18.00 per hour

Applicants will need to be available for the audition, rehearsal and allocated event shift.
