Chef – Castle Carvery Racecourse

We’re looking for passionate and reliable Chefs to join our team at Castle Carvery Racecourse. At Anglia Restaurants our kitchen teams are at the heart of what we do. We serve high-quality, freshly prepared roasts and classic main menu dishes in a fast-paced, guest-focused environment. You’ll be joining a supportive and energetic brigade who take pride in consistency, presentation, and delivering an excellent guest dining experience every day.

About You
You’ll thrive in a fast-moving kitchen, work well as part of a team, and show initiative when it counts. A strong understanding of food hygiene and cleanliness is essential, along with a positive attitude and willingness to learn.

Key Responsibilities
Your role will include (but is not limited to):

  • Preparing and cooking high-quality carvery meats, sides, and accompaniments to specification.
  • Setting up and maintaining the carvery deck and kitchen for a smooth service.
  • Working across all kitchen sections depending on business needs this includes carvery and main menu stations.
  • Receiving and storing deliveries in line with food safety standards.
  • Completing kitchen records, due diligence checks, and food safety documentation.
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene and cleanliness standards throughout.
  • Supporting senior chefs and management to deliver consistent, high-quality food.
  • Following all company and legal food safety and health & safety procedures.
  • Ensuring all prep, cooking, and presentation meets brand standards.
  • Cleaning down and resetting the kitchen at the end of each shift.

Experience
Previous experience in a kitchen or carvery environment is beneficial but not essential. Full training and onboarding will be provided.

Hours & Availability

This is a full-time position.

We are a 365-day business, so you must be available to work Sundays, weekends, school holidays and the Christmas period. Sundays are our busiest service, so availability on this day is essential.
