We are looking for an experienced Specifications Technologist to join our friendly quality team in Leeds.

Salary - Up to £33,000 per annum
Weekly Hours - 40 hours per week
Working Days - Monday to Friday

What you will be doing?

You will place a crucial role in maintaining and managing the finished product specifications, ensuring they adhere to industry regulations and meet our internal standards. Your expertise and attention to detail are essential in creating first time customer specifications.

  • Responsibility for liaising with customer in writing and updating food standard specifications in accordance with the product.
  • Working alongside the NPD team to prepare nutrition, ingredient declarations and labels
  • Keep up to date with legislation to ensure company compliance with customer specifications
  • Develop and manage quality attribute sheets
  • Support in artwork sign off for all products including own brand and retailers
  • Support with raw material specifications and supplier approval.

What we want from you:

  • Experience of writing customer specifications, preferably within the Food industry.
  • Preferably someone with experience with short shelf life food.
  • Knowledge of BRC V9 requirements relating to specifications.
  • HACCP Level is desirable.
