Working Hours

Monday - Friday, 9:30am - 12pm (Flexible hours can be discussed)

12.5 hours per week

About this role

Key Responsibilities

The key duties for the role are:

  • Daily cleans of all internal corridors
  • Bi weekly cleans of all internal common areas
  • Monthly deep clean of all common areas
  • Deep cleaning rooms in the building as part of the summer turnaround where required
  • Working alongside the maintenance operative to make sure the building is kept in good condition at all times.
  • Taking accountability for overall property presentation
  • Support office where required
  • Monitoring and fulfilling the varied auditing requirements,
  • Including: maintenance audits, Health and Safety audits, identifying and managing fire safety issues, Control of Hazardous Substances requirements (COSHH)
  • Ad hoc tasks

Please note that due to the nature of the business and this specific role there are a large number of ad-hoc tasks which occur throughout the year – the JD is not exhaustive.

The nature of the role means that you may be required to work outside of your hours (move in weekends, summer etc).

Due to this role covering two sites within a 10 mile radius, a full license and car is required.

Person Profile:

Skills/Ability/Knowledge:

  • Past cleaning experience essential
  • Previous experience of working in student accommodation/hotels or hostels is preferred, but not essential
  • Good interpersonal and organisational skills
  • Ability to work as part of a small team
  • Ability to work independently
  • The ability to prioritise work
