Role Overview
We’re looking for an experienced ADHD Specialist (Independent Prescriber – Nurse) to join our clinical network.
This is a part-time/independent contractor role ideal for clinicians seeking flexible, remote work while maintaining a high standard of clinical excellence.
Key Responsibilities
- Assess patients with an existing diagnosis and develop personalised treatment and management plans.
- Prescribe and titrate ADHD medication in line with NICE and BNF guidelines, including repeat prescriptions.
- Monitor patient progress through regular follow-ups and adjust treatment plans as necessary. Monitor treatment effectiveness, side effects, and ongoing progress.
- Verify that patient physical observations (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse) have been recorded prior to their medication review appointment.
- Complete risk assessments and review safeguarding needs alongside treatment strategies during ongoing patient care.
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists) to ensure continuity of care.
- Maintain patient communication via central inbox management for the Titration department and the SEMBLE platform.
- Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical records in line with GDPR and CQC guidelines. Clinic letters should be written professionally and completed within expected timeframes.
- Provide psychoeducation and lifestyle guidance to clients and families.
- Uphold Augmentive’s commitment to ethical, person-centred, and compassionate care.
- Participate in regular(weekly) MDT/team meetings, supervision and CPD.
- Participate in audit, quality improvement, and clinical governance processes.
- Support induction and training to other members of staff to develop skills in this area of expertise.
Essential Requirements
- Registered Nurse (RMN / RGN / RNLD) with current NMC registration.
- Independent Prescriber qualification (V300).
- 2+ years of demonstrable experience assessing and managing ADHD in adults.
- Strong understanding of NICE guidelines for ADHD diagnosis and treatment.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver care remotely.
- Access to secure, private space for conducting consultations.
- Previous experience in private practice or digital health environments.
Desirable Requirements
- Experience working within multidisciplinary or telehealth teams.
- Additional training in neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health therapy.
