Role Overview

We’re looking for an experienced ADHD Specialist (Independent Prescriber – Nurse) to join our clinical network.

This is a part-time/independent contractor role ideal for clinicians seeking flexible, remote work while maintaining a high standard of clinical excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Verify that patient physical observations (height, weight, blood pressure, pulse) have been recorded prior to their medication review appointment.
  • Complete risk assessments and review safeguarding needs alongside treatment strategies during ongoing patient care.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams (psychiatrists, psychologists, therapists) to ensure continuity of care.
  • Maintain patient communication via central inbox management for the Titration department and the SEMBLE platform.
  • Maintain accurate, timely, and compliant clinical records in line with GDPR and CQC guidelines. Clinic letters should be written professionally and completed within expected timeframes.
  • Provide psychoeducation and lifestyle guidance to clients and families.
  • Uphold Augmentive’s commitment to ethical, person-centred, and compassionate care.
  • Participate in regular(weekly) MDT/team meetings, supervision and CPD.
  • Participate in audit, quality improvement, and clinical governance processes.
  • Support induction and training to other members of staff to develop skills in this area of expertise.

Essential Requirements

  • Registered Nurse (RMN / RGN / RNLD) with current NMC registration.
  • Independent Prescriber qualification (V300).
  • 2+ years of demonstrable experience assessing and managing ADHD in adults.
  • Strong understanding of NICE guidelines for ADHD diagnosis and treatment.
  • Excellent communication skills and ability to deliver care remotely.
  • Access to secure, private space for conducting consultations.
  • Previous experience in private practice or digital health environments.

Desirable Requirements

  • Experience working within multidisciplinary or telehealth teams.
  • Additional training in neurodevelopmental disorders or mental health therapy.
