Full job description

Job Title: Nursery Practitioner

Responsibilities:
- Provide high-quality care and education to children in a nursery setting
- Plan and implement age-appropriate activities and learning experiences
- Create a safe and nurturing environment for children to thrive in
- Monitor and observe children's development and progress
- Collaborate with parents and guardians to ensure the well-being of each child
- Maintain accurate records of children's daily activities and progress
- Follow health and safety guidelines to ensure the well-being of all children
- Support children's social, emotional, and cognitive development through play and interaction

Experience:
- Previous experience working in a nursery or childcare setting is required. HNC in Childhood Practice or equivalent required.
- Knowledge of child development principles and practices
- Ability to engage and communicate effectively with children, parents, and colleagues
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to work as part of a team and contribute to a positive working environment

- Previous experience working with children aged 3-5 or 0-3.

- Experience working with the curriculum for excellence is essential.

- Having some knowledge of the literacy for all and Glasgow counts trackers is also essential.
