About us:

Budbrooke House Children's Nursery are a small, independent, family run nursery in Warwick.

We are passionate about providing outstanding childcare and we are committed to staff professional development in order to improve the care and learning experiences for our children.

The job role:

We require a nursery cook to prepare an evening meal and snacks for our settings and to help cover in the classroom over mealtime periods. We follow a nutritious eight week menu and all meals are prepared fresh onsite.

The nursery cook will need to leave a shopping list and stocktake regularly. We expect our 5* food hygiene rating to be upheld and the kitchen should be kept well maintained and clean.

There are a number of special dietary requirements which need to be catered for.

The working hours will be 13:00-17:30/18:00 (Monday to Thursday) and 08:00 - 17:30 (Friday) . (a minimum of 27 hours per week).

About you:

It would be desirable for the applicant to hold a formal catering qualification. You will be expected to undergo a refresher on Food Hygiene and allergy awareness.

Candidates should have the ability to work independently. You should be reliable, pro-active, trustworthy, but most of all you should have a genuine love of children and want to provide well thought out and balanced meals.

Safeguarding:

Budbrooke House are committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children therefore the successful applicant will be required to complete an enhanced DBS Disclosure and enrol in the update system. References will be contacted prior to an in-house interview.
