- £5,000 bonus after 5 years' service
- £10,000 bonus after 10 years' service
About You
- Previous experience working within a nursery, school, care home or commercial kitchen environment.
- Minimum Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate.
- Excellent understanding of food allergies, intolerances and dietary requirements.
- Highly organised with exceptional attention to detail.
- Confident following strict allergen management and food safety procedures.
- Able to work independently and manage daily kitchen tasks efficiently.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with the nursery team.
- A reliable, positive and proactive approach.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and serve meals, snacks and refreshments in line with the nursery's menus and nutritional standards.
- Ensure every child's dietary requirements, allergies and intolerances are carefully followed, with no compromise on food safety.
- Follow and maintain robust allergen management procedures, ensuring accurate labelling and record keeping at all times.

- Ensure the kitchen remains well organised, clean and fully stocked throughout the day.
- Work closely with the nursery team to ensure meal times run smoothly and children's individual needs are met.
We are committed to the safeguarding of children and expect all staff to share this commitment, therefore we employ a strict screening process. Employment is thus subject to two satisfactory references and a Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS) check.
