Links Nurseries Ltd is a private limited company which runs a well respected group of three nurseries in Edinburgh, East Lothian, and Aberdeenshire. We provide flexible, high quality childcare and learning for children aged 0 to 5 years. Our employment package includes:

We are currently recruiting for full time Nursery Practitioners to join the team at our Edinburgh nursery, City & Little City Nursery, located in the leafy and quiet suburb of Greenbank EH10 near Morningside, Edinburgh. The nursery is set over two large spacious buildings, each with well resourced playrooms, dining areas, sleep rooms and sensory areas. Each building also has free flow access to attractive garden areas and large staff rooms with kitchen facilities. The nursery is served by local buses and ample free on street parking is also available for staff travelling by car.

The successful candidates will be hardworking, conscientious, have good communication skills, be motivated, professional and passionate about working with and supporting our children and their families. They will be responsible for creating stimulating learning experiences allowing children to thrive in a caring and nurturing environment. Main responsibilities of the positions include planning, evaluating, observing and recording learning experiences for our children, attending to their daily care needs, and supporting and promoting positive professional relationships within our team and with all service users.

Experience of working with children, for example in a children's nursery, afterschool club or as a registered childminder etc. is essential. Candidates should also hold or be working towards a relevant childcare qualification at HNC level/SCQF level 7/SVQ level 3 or equivalent which will allow them to register with the SSSC at practitioner level. Alternatively a teaching qualification and registration with the GTCS or any other qualification acceptable for registration with the SSSC at practitioner level will be considered. Please refer to the SSSC website for qualifications which might be acceptable. Candidates should also have a sound knowledge of children's development and a working knowledge of relevant curricula and early years best practice.

Full time positions are permanent for 40 hours over four days from 7.30 am until 6 pm between Monday and Friday with a floating day off. Part time positions of 20 or 30 hours worked over either 2 or 3 full days 7.30 am until 6pm may also be considered for qualified and suitably experienced candidates.
