Qualified Nursery Nurse – Join the Ashbourne Day Nurseries Team

Location: Cheltenham

Are you passionate about working with children and looking for an opportunity to join a supportive and nurturing team? Ashbourne Day Nurseries is looking for a dedicated Qualified Nursery Nurse to become part of our friendly and experienced team. If you’re excited about making a positive impact on children’s early development, we’d love to hear from you!

About Us

At Ashbourne Day Nurseries, we provide high-quality, child-centred care in a warm, fun, and stimulating environment. Founded in 2008, we have grown from our first nursery in Oxley Park, Milton Keynes, into a group of nurseries located in a variety of unique settings, from purpose-built buildings to farm and listed buildings.

We follow the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum, ensuring that every child receives the best start in life. Our nurseries are places where children feel safe, loved, and inspired to explore and learn, and we are looking for a passionate Nursery Nurse to help us continue to deliver that high standard of care.

Your Role as a Qualified Nursery Nurse

As a Qualified Nursery Nurse, you’ll be a key part of the team, supporting children’s learning, development, and well-being every day. You’ll help create a stimulating environment, plan and deliver activities that promote learning and growth, and build strong relationships with the children and their families.

This is a hands-on, rewarding role where you’ll see the positive impact of your work on the children in your care.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supporting children’s learning and development through creative, fun, and age-appropriate activities
  • Observing and assessing children’s progress in line with the EYFS framework
  • Ensuring a safe, welcoming, and engaging environment for children
  • Building positive relationships with children, parents, and carers
  • Supporting the wider nursery team to maintain high standards of care and education
  • Assisting with day-to-day activities such as mealtimes, playtime, and naptime
  • Helping to ensure the nursery meets all health, safety, and safeguarding standards

About You

  • You hold a Level 3 Early Years qualification.
  • You have experience working in an early years setting and a strong understanding of the EYFS framework
  • You’re passionate about providing high-quality care and supporting children’s development
  • You’re enthusiastic, caring, and approachable, with a positive attitude
  • You work well as part of a team, but are also confident in using your initiative
  • You are keen to build strong relationships with children and their families
  • You’re committed to creating a safe, nurturing environment for every child

What We Offer

  • A competitive salary package
  • Ongoing training and professional development to support your career growth
  • A supportive, friendly, and welcoming team that values creativity and individuality
  • Opportunities for career progression within the Ashbourne family
  • A workplace where you can make a real difference in children’s lives

Ready to Join Our Team?

If you’re excited to make a positive difference and bring your skills to our team, we’d love to hear from you!

Ashbourne Day Nurseries is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and expects all staff and volunteers to share this commitment. All roles are subject to an enhanced DBS check and satisfactory references.
