Pennies Day Nursery is a family-run childcare provider with over 25 years of experience. Our mission is to deliver the very best in childcare, learning, and fun, ensuring every child becomes a valued member of the Pennies Family.
Summary

We are seeking two dedicated Qualified Nursery Practitioner to join our team at Pennies Day Nursery at our Newnham Court Nursery. In this role, you will play a crucial part in fostering a nurturing environment that supports children's development and well-being. Your contributions will directly impact our mission to provide outstanding childcare.

Hours - We have a full time vacancy of 37.5hrs per week worked over 4 days. Shift pattern of 7.20am to 17.20pm and 8.30am to 18.30pm with 45 minute unpaid break.

And a 3 day vacancy working a mix of the same shifts as above but 28.25hrs per week worked over 3 days.

1hr staff meetings each month is included in your pay as staff are expected to attend these meetings outside of the shift pattern times.
Responsibilities

  • Create a safe and engaging learning environment for children.
  • Plan and implement age-appropriate activities that promote development.
  • Observe and assess children's progress and adapt activities accordingly.
  • Collaborate with parents to support children's learning at home.
  • Maintain accurate records of children's development and daily activities.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations.
  • Work as part of a team to create a positive atmosphere in the nursery.
  • Participate in ongoing professional development opportunities.
  • Qualifications
  • Relevant qualifications in early childhood education or childcare (e.g., Level 2 or Level 3).
  • Experience working with children in a nursery setting.
  • Strong understanding of child development principles.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with children and parents.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
  • Passion for providing high-quality care and education for young children.
