The Opportunity
Are you an experienced, self-driven care professional looking to step into a pivotal leadership role with a highly respected provider?
Care1 Professional Services LTD is a well-established Health and Social Care company specializing in premium, bespoke Care at Home services across Scotland. Registered with the Care Inspectorate, we have built an enviable reputation for delivering reliable, compassionate, person-centred care that protects our clients' dignity, privacy, and independence.
Due to continued regional growth, we are looking for a passionate Care Supervisor to join our management team. Sitting at the intersection of field compliance, workforce routing, and people management, this hybrid role gives you the platform to lead a dedicated team of care assistants and directly influence the quality of our service delivery.
Key ResponsibilitiesQuality Control & Compliance
- Maintain exceptional standards of care in line with the Care Inspectorate’s regulations and statutory frameworks.
- Conduct field-based quality control audits, including regular staff spot checks, service user feedback reviews, and safeguarding monitoring.
- Liaise closely with the Operations Manager to organize, assess, and continuously review client care plans and risk assessments.
- Manage strict data-compliance practices across both digital and physical files in accordance with GDPR 2018.
Staff Coordination & Rostering
- Take ownership of rota management—utilizing scheduling software to build efficient, safe, and logical rotas that match staff skillsets to individual client needs.
- Support care staff to deliver their rounds punctually and professionally, directly managing day-to-day issues such as sickness and absence cover.
- Participate in a shared on-call manager rota, stepping in to cover emergency care calls in the field when required (including out-of-hours and weekends).
People Management & Stakeholder Relations
- Monitor, supervise, and mentor front-line care staff, delivering in-house training to elevate team performance.
- Act as a vital communication link, hosting reviews and meetings with clients, their families, social services, and external healthcare professionals.
- Handle staff or client concerns with high sensitivity, addressing issues immediately and escalating complex complaints to the Operations Manager.
RequirementsQualifications & Experience
- Experience: Minimum of 1 year of proven experience supervising care staff within a Care at Home or residential care setting.
- Education: Held SVQ Level 3 in Health & Social Care (or an equivalent recognized qualification). A nursing background is highly advantageous but not essential.
- Registration: Active registration with the SSSC (Scottish Social Services Council), or a strict willingness to register within 6 months of your start date.
Skills & Logistics
- Transport: Full UK Driving Licence and access to your own vehicle with active business insurance (Mandatory).
- Tech Literacy: Strong IT competency, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Prior experience utilizing care planning/scheduling software is a distinct advantage.
- Attributes: Elite organizational and problem-solving skills, exceptional communication, adaptability, and the capacity to work flexibly in emergency situations.

- Competitive Remuneration: A strong starting salary of £29,000 to £38,000 reflecting your supervisory expertise.
- Expense Support: Fully paid travel expenses between client field visits to protect your earnings.
- Professional Trajectory: Transparent pathways into Senior Operations Management as Care1 continues expanding its West Scotland footprint.
- Supportive Infrastructure: Access to seasoned managers, structured onboarding, and an environment that rewards accountability and passion.
