Medication Management

  • Administer medication safely and accurately in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain accurate medication records.
  • Report medication errors or concerns immediately.

Record Keeping and Documentation

  • Complete and maintain accurate care plans, risk assessments, and daily records.
  • Monitor and update resident care needs and report changes to senior management.
  • Ensure all documentation complies with regulatory and organisational standards.

Health and Safety

  • Follow safeguarding procedures and report any concerns regarding vulnerable adults.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, infection control measures, and moving and handling practices.
  • Respond appropriately in emergency situations.
  • Support inspections and audits by regulatory bodies.

Communication

  • Build positive relationships with residents, families, healthcare professionals, and external agencies.
  • Attend team meetings and training sessions as required.
  • Ensure effective communication between care teams and management.

Skills and QualificationsEssential

  • NVQ/QCF Level 2 or 3 in Health and Social Care (or equivalent).
  • Previous experience working in a care setting.
  • Good leadership and communication skills.
  • Knowledge of safeguarding, person-centred care, and health and safety practices.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Competent in maintaining accurate records.

Desirable

  • Medication administration training.
  • Experience supervising staff.
  • First Aid training.
  • Dementia care experience.
