CHEF EXPERIENCE AND CAR ESSENTIAL FOR THIS ROLE

1. Manage and work across two stores, your time will be split between admin days and on shift either front or back of house driving the team

At PICNIC, we’re on a mission to prove that fast food can be fresh, healthy and seriously delicious. We’re looking for a hands-on Restaurant Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment, that can work in front & back of house at both of our sites West Derby & Smithdown.

45hrs with the option of overtime. Shifts are 4 days on 3 days off per week. Service hours are 11am - 9pm.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Leading the day-to-day operations of the restaurant.
  • Running a busy kitchen while maintaining exceptional food quality and consistency.
  • Jumping between the kitchen and front of house whenever needed.
  • Leading, coaching and developing the team to deliver outstanding service.
  • Maintaining excellent food hygiene, health & safety and cleanliness standards.
  • Managing stock, ordering and minimising waste.
  • Scheduling staff and managing labour costs.
  • Driving sales while controlling costs and maximising profitability.
  • Training new team members and ensuring company procedures are followed.
  • Creating a positive, energetic and accountable team culture.
  • Handling customer feedback professionally and ensuring every guest has a great experience.

We’re Looking For Someone Who

  • Has previous experience managing a busy restaurant or fast-casual food business.
  • Is confident leading a kitchen during busy services.
  • Can confidently support both back and front of house operations.
  • Leads by example and enjoys working alongside the team.
  • Has excellent organisational and communication skills.
  • Is calm under pressure and enjoys solving problems.
  • Has a strong understanding of food safety, HACCP and health & safety procedures.
  • Is passionate about fresh food and delivering an exceptional customer experience.
  • Is flexible to work evenings, weekends and bank holidays when required.

Bonus Points If You Have

  • Experience in healthy fast food, cafés or fast-casual dining.
  • Level 3 Food Safety qualification (or willingness to obtain one).
  • Experience with stock management, GP control and labour management.
  • A genuine passion for fitness, nutrition and healthy living.
