The job in a nutshell:

The Membership Programming Lead is responsible for shaping and delivering the cultural, experiential and events programme that underpins BB&R's membership proposition. This newly created role will own the development of a distinctive annual programme that brings BB&R's heritage, expertise and network to life through world-class experiences, cultural partnerships and collaborations.

Working closely with the Membership Manager, Partnerships Manager and colleagues across the business, you will curate a balanced programme of events and activations that supports customer engagement, acquisition and retention, ensuring the programme remains relevant, differentiated and aligned to customer needs and business priorities.

Combining creative programming, strategic planning and commercial thinking, you will continually bring fresh perspectives and new opportunities into the proposition, leveraging partnerships and industry networks to create exceptional experiences that resonate with our customers.

Who you will work with:

Internal: Head of Events & Experiences, Membership Manager, Partnerships Manager, Private Clients Advisers, Events & Experiences team, Buying, Marketing, Hospitality, Private Client teams, Finance, Cellars and Retail.

External: Wine and Spirits producers, suppliers, luxury brand partners, restaurants, hotels, cultural organisations, venues and customers.

What you will do:

Programme Development & Delivery

  • Own the development and delivery of the annual membership events and cultural calendar.
  • Curate and deliver a differentiated programme of experiences aligned to customer tiers, business objectives and BB&R's premium brand positioning.
  • Create compelling annual themes and narratives that bring BB&R's heritage, expertise and network to life through wine, spirits, dining, travel, culture and luxury lifestyle experiences.
  • Develop and activate cultural calendars, residencies, guest chef collaborations, and co-created programmes that drive engagement and customer value.
  • Design customer journeys that consider every touchpoint before, during and after each experience.
  • Ensure all experiences deliver exceptional customer outcomes while supporting acquisition, retention and loyalty objectives.
  • Continuously identify opportunities to innovate, elevate and differentiate the programme.
  • Undertake any additional duties consistent with the responsibilities of the role.

Partnerships & External Networks

  • Work closely with the Partnerships Manager to identify, develop and activate strategic partnerships that enhance the customer proposition.
  • Collaborate with external brands, cultural institutions, chefs, creators, producers and industry experts to deliver exceptional experiences.
  • Build and maintain a network of best-in-class partners capable of creating unique and exclusive opportunities for customers.
  • Identify opportunities to create exclusive access, benefits and experiences that strengthen customer engagement and brand affinity.

Cross-Functional Collaboration

  • Partner with the Membership Manager to ensure programming supports engagement, retention, loyalty and acquisition objectives.
  • Work closely with Private Client Advisers and commercial teams to understand customer interests and opportunities.
  • Leverage BB&R's unique producer network, working closely with the Buying team to unlock exclusive experiences, access and collaborations that differentiate the proposition.
  • Incorporate customer feedback, participation data and insights into future programming decisions.
  • Collaborate with Marketing and Content teams to create compelling storytelling around the programme.

Innovation & Cultural Relevance

  • Bring fresh thinking, new perspectives and emerging trends into the experiences programme.
  • Maintain awareness of developments across luxury hospitality, food and drink, travel, culture, art and membership businesses.
  • Seek out innovative formats, talent and partnerships that keep the proposition distinctive and market leading.
  • Continuously evolve the programme to ensure relevance, exclusivity and differentiation.

Performance & Evaluation

  • Develop clear objectives, budgets and success measures for programming initiatives.
  • Assess programme performance through attendance, engagement, customer feedback and commercial impact.
  • Produce recommendations and insights to inform programme development.
  • Prepare event briefs and oversee experiences from concept through to delivery.
  • Attend key events where appropriate to host customers and support delivery.

What you will bring to the role:

  • Experience developing and delivering premium customer experiences, luxury hospitality programmes, cultural programming or membership initiatives.
  • Comfortable balancing strategic planning with hands-on delivery in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining exceptional attention to detail.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills, with the ability to take ideas from concept through to execution.
  • Experience building and managing relationships with partners, brands, suppliers and external stakeholders.
  • Creative and commercially minded, with the ability to develop distinctive experiences that deliver measurable customer and business value.
  • Strong understanding of luxury customer expectations and experience-led engagement.
  • Ability to use customer insights, feedback and performance data to shape and evolve programmes.
  • Confident collaborating across multiple stakeholders to align priorities and deliver successful outcomes.
  • Excellent written, verbal and presentation skills.
  • Naturally curious, with a strong interest in luxury hospitality, wine, spirits, food, travel, culture and craftsmanship.
  • Proactive, entrepreneurial and comfortable working in a newly created role with a high degree of autonomy.
  • Flexible approach to working hours, including attendance at evening and occasional weekend events.
