Restaurant Supervisor

The Anchor Hotel, Kippford

Lead the floor. Deliver exceptional service. Help shape one of Dumfries & Galloway’s most exciting hotels and restaurants.

We’re looking for an enthusiastic, confident and hands-on Restaurant Supervisor to join the team at The Anchor Hotel, Kippford.

This is an ideal opportunity for someone who already has hospitality experience and is ready to take the next step in their career, or an experienced supervisor looking for a fresh challenge in a busy, quality-driven venue.

You’ll play a key role in ensuring every guest receives outstanding service while supporting the Front of House Manager in the day-to-day operation of the restaurant and bar.

The Role

As Restaurant Supervisor you’ll be responsible for helping to lead the front of house team, ensuring smooth service and maintaining high standards throughout every shift.

In the absence of the Front of House Manager, you’ll confidently take charge of the operation, supporting and directing the team while ensuring guests continue to receive a first-class experience.

No two days are ever the same, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys being busy, solving problems and leading from the front.

What You’ll Be Doing

  • Supervising restaurant and bar service throughout your shift.
  • Leading and motivating the front of house team.
  • Supporting with staff training and maintaining service standards.
  • Taking responsibility for the venue when the Front of House Manager is absent.
  • Handling customer queries professionally and confidently.
  • Assisting with opening and closing procedures.
  • Working closely with the kitchen to deliver an exceptional guest experience.
  • Providing bar cover when required.

  • Is flexible to work evenings, weekends and holidays.
