Job Advert for Indeed: Assistant Manager – Clip ‘n Climb Croydon
Clip ‘n Climb Croydon opened in February 2026. Clip ‘n Climb is an exciting, indoor climbing concept, combined with a high-quality cafe. The concept is best described as 'theme park meets climbing wall' and has proved hugely popular with families around the world in over 350 centres.
Clip ‘n Climb has established itself as the leading brand in fun climbing walls, which allows people to climb at any age above 2yrs old with any ability in a safe and controlled environment.
We are looking for a talented and enthusiastic Assistant Manager to start with us on our exciting journey. You must thrive in a busy, fast paced, fun environment. Assistant Managers need to have a strong operational aptitude and the ability to prioritise in a busy customer facing role. RESPONSIBILITIES - WHAT YOU DO
- Plan, organise and execute team and individual training sessions.
- Carrying out daily & monthly safety checks on climbing equipment.
- Ensuring the safe running of the Clip ‘n Climb arena in accordance with risk assessments and operating procedures.
- Interacting and assisting with customers.
- Working in conjunction with the management team to review and improve policies, procedures and systems.
- Working with the management team to develop on-going staff development and training
- Understand and support reception duties.
- Support café duties when required.
- Team leadership, providing ongoing management, coaching and development and monitoring team and individual performance.
- Ensure successful implementation of, and adherence to all Centre policies and procedures.
- Complete all relevant checks to ensure standards are maintained across the Centre
- Assist with scheduling and rota management.
- Help to increase sales by finding new opportunities.
- Fulfill key holder and security duties.
- Complete opening and closing procedures as required.
- Support all areas of the centre, as a point of escalation.
