Job Summary

Join our dynamic team as an Activities Co-ordinator, where you will play a pivotal role in providing dedicated activities for our service users. This role is incredibly important in ensuring our service users have the opportunity to participate in enriching, rewarding activities as part of their daily routine.

Oak View provides nursing care for adults over the age of 18 who may have a mental health disorder of learning disability, alongside complex physical needs.

Passionate about providing quality, patient centred care, with the enthusiasm to encourage Services Users to engage in activities for a meaning and fulfilling life.

Key duties:

· Provide and facilitate recreational, social and educational activities.

· To support and facility activity sessions both on a one-to-one and group basis for service users.

· To actively promote the benefit of undertaking therapeutic activities to service users and other team members.

· To ensure all service users are aware of activities which may be of benefit to them and how these can be accessed.

· Under guidance form the home manager to develop and implement new activities in response to service users’ needs

· To ensure therapeutic areas and appropriate materials are prepared for use in the activities, monitoring potential risk.

· To be responsive to service users’ needs and choices; and uphold their right to be treated with dignity and respect.

About You

Full, clean driving licence (essential)

Compassionate, empathic

Creative, able to articulate new ideas

Strong communicator, able to build relationships with Service Users, their families, staff and colleagues
