About the role

Due to continued growth within TAC Healthcare’s Occupational Health business, we are looking for an Occupational Health Physician to join our team in Aberdeen.

You will deliver high-quality occupational health services to a varied client base, providing clear, evidence-based advice that supports employee wellbeing, workplace safety and effective business decision-making. Your work will be carried out in accordance with the General Medical Council and Faculty of Occupational Medicine codes of professional conduct and practice.

The role may include management referrals, fitness-for-work assessments, complex case reviews and clinical guidance to colleagues and clients. You will work closely with our Occupational Health, Client Relationship and Account Management teams to ensure services are delivered in line with contractual requirements and client expectations. Training will be provided for applicants with limited occupational medicine experience.

There will also be opportunities to broaden your experience by supporting our topside medical services and exploring relevant occupational medicine specialty training.

At TAC Healthcare, we look for people who are passionate about delivering outstanding care and putting clients and patients at the heart of everything they do.

What you will do

  • Undertake occupational health consultations, assessments and case reviews.
  • Provide clear, impartial and evidence-based advice to employees, managers and clients.
  • Assess fitness for work and recommend appropriate workplace adjustments or restrictions.
  • Support the management of complex occupational health cases.
  • Maintain accurate, confidential and timely clinical records and reports.
  • Provide clinical advice, supervision and support to members of the wider occupational health team.
  • Work collaboratively with operational, clinical and account management colleagues.
  • Contribute to clinical governance, service development, audit and quality improvement.
  • Maintain professional standards and continuing professional development in line with current legislation and best practice.
  • Where appropriate, support topside medical services and the clinical supervision of remote or offshore medics.

You will also demonstrate

  • A strong focus on clinical quality and patient care.
  • Excellent organisational and time-management skills.
  • The ability to manage competing priorities and work effectively under pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
  • Professional written and verbal communication.
  • Sound clinical judgement and commercial awareness.
  • The ability to work independently while contributing positively to a multidisciplinary team.

Required qualifications

  • Medical degree.
  • A minimum of 3 years post-registration clinical experience.
  • Full GMC registration with a current licence to practise.
  • Relevant experience delivering occupational health services.
  • Ideally a minimum of a DOccMed, but we would support candidates working towards this qualification.

What’s in it for you

  • Private Medical Insurance.
  • Company Pension Scheme.
  • Enhanced Annual Leave.
  • Parental Leave.
  • On-site Parking.
  • Employee Assistance Programme, including health, wellbeing and financial support.
  • Company Sick Pay Scheme.
  • Enhanced Maternity Leave.
  • Family and Friends discount on TAC Healthcare services.
  • Opportunities to gain experience across occupational health, topside medical support and specialty training.
