Full job description

Retail and Stock Administrator

We are looking for an organised, motivated team member to help in the operation of our tills, office and EPOS (electronic point-of-sale) system. You will be a cheerful, team-player with great communication skills and a sense of humour!

We operate using a semi-automated EPOS system, which requires a mixture of manual data entry and spreadsheet management. You will work with our Gift Shop, Garden and Café teams, using this system to ensure effective and accurate stock management, inventory and sales reporting.

  • Entry of stock data and monitoring of stock control
  • Assist the in the unpacking, labelling and recording of new stock deliveries
  • Maintain, alter and adapt till functions and layout
  • Liaise with suppliers to maintain product databases and report damaged stock
  • Provide administratjve support to management and Gift Shop and Garden teams
  • Provide first line IT assistance and training on tills across the site
  • Answer customer queries via telephone and email
  • Provide cover for Gift Shop assistants over breaks and in case of illness

This is a permanent part time position

Essential requirements:

-Excellent attention to detail

· Excellent IT skills including use of Microsoft Office

· Must be flexible, able to cope under pressure and adapt to changing priorities

· Ability to work to deadlines, prioritise tasks and effectively work with colleagues

-Good numeracy skills

-Excellent communication skills

Desirable skills

· Previous office administration or retail experience

· Interest in retail and horticulture

Pay: £14.00-£15.00 per hour
