Full job description

Position Title: Service Stars (Waitress / Waiter) The most-loved Polish restaurant brand in London is Mamuśka! Polish Kitchen and Bar is known as much for our big portions of high-quality Polish food as we are known for great low prices. We are looking for exceptionally friendly, fun, fast and FANTASTIC servers for our Southbank Waterloo location. Are you ready to embrace old-school hospitality where we hustle, smile and bend over backwards to give an amazing brand experience? Our massive open-air mezzanine, The Platform, is designed to work as a bar, private party space and over-flow for tour groups, but with massive steel beams and concrete overhead, it feels like we have transformed a shipyard! The main 130-seat Old Arch dining area downstairs in the Victorian-era railway is overlooked by the Gantry Walk on The Bunker, a steel-clad structure at the far end of the restaurant so that our special patrons can enjoy a birds-eye view of all the action. So the venue is pretty spectacular! But management knows it is our FOH Service Team who set the tone of fun professionalism, casual efficiency and wacky dependability that keep customers returning (and the service charge flowing in into the pockets of the team). We are looking for people who are truly excited about Polish food, drink and culture and are ready to teach and share that love with new and returning customers alike. Wall flowers and people who don’t like speaking to people are very welcome as guests, but need not apply to work here! It is hard work to make casual dining look this cool and relaxed. But if hard work and cool environments stimulate you, this is a brilliant place to earn cash to put yourself though school, to start a career in hospitality or to advance quickly into a management position in exchange for your input, ideas and leadership. Service Stars take turns handling everything in the front of house:

  • Greeting and Helping Customers
  • Guiding guests through the menu and SELLING (not just taking orders)
  • Pouring Drinks and Keeping the bar stocked
  • Clearing tables and keeping the restaurant clean
  • Working with the kitchen to get the orders out
  • Co-ordinating the Delivery Service
  • Choosing the music and video entertainment
  • Posting to Social Media … and so much more!

There are loads of great benefits of working at Mamuśka! but the biggest one is our amazing upbeat and hard-working team. We look forward to hearing from lovers of all things Polish to come join us!

Wage:

approx £18/hr incl service charge

Benefits:

pension, free duty meals, staff discounts, holiday, uniform and more
