On behalf of Network Rail, we are looking for a Medical Coordinator for a 6 month contract based remotely.

As a Medical Coordinator your main responsibilities will be to:
  • Produce diary management for the effective and efficient delivery of occupational health services at regional locations, to support compliance with the relevant operational processes.
  • Monitor the appointment and recall list for the various clinical services, and schedule appointments as required.
  • Manage the day-to-day running of the regional location, including provision of appropriate medical equipment and stationery, and opening and closing of the clinic.
  • Provide administrative support to the regional clinic including but not limited to; welcoming employees, providing relevant paperwork to employees, and act as chaperone to the employee, if required.
  • Support record keeping in the clinic, including scanning of documents into the IT platform and monitoring and obtaining Further Medical Evidence (FME) responses.
  • Liaise with finance regarding GP or specialist invoices to comply with Network Rail financial processes.
  • Liaise with lead medical co-ordinator on resolving queries, issues, and complaints so that they are addressed promptly and satisfactorily.
  • Completion of additional administrative duties as required by service delivery manager or clinical colleagues to meet service requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality in line with occupational health governance framework to meet data protection requirements.
Essential
  • Excellent knowledge of diary management principles and systems
  • Previous successful experience in prioritising workloads and delivering to deadlines
  • Ability to demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills
  • Attention to detail
  • Previous successful experience of working in a team and engaging with virtual team members
  • Able to demonstrate good general IT skills
  • Understanding of confidentiality and GDPR compliance
Desirable
  • Understanding of occupational health services
  • Knowledge of the UK rail industry
