Chat Star (Online Chat Moderator)

Location: Buzz Bingo Head Office, Nottingham
Contract: Part Time | Shift-Based Role
Salary: £13,322.40 p/a

Hours: 20 hours a week. Flexible shifts between 9:00am and Midnight, including evenings and weekends

At Buzz Bingo, we're looking for a Chat Star to join our Live Bingo team and help create one of the most vibrant online bingo communities in the UK. You'll be the friendly face behind the screen, bringing energy, personality and fun to our live chat rooms while ensuring every customer feels welcomed, valued and part of the Buzz community.

Whether you're discussing bingo, popular culture, hobbies, current events or everyday life, you'll know how to build rapport, encourage participation and create memorable experiences that keep customers coming back.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Create a fun, friendly and engaging environment within our online chat rooms.
  • Build relationships with customers, encourage participation and help grow our online community.
  • Host conversations, games, quizzes, competitions and interactive activities.
  • Support live bingo sessions, promotions, campaigns and special events.
  • Respond to customer messages and queries in a professional and engaging manner.
  • Monitor chat activity, enforce community guidelines and help maintain a safe, inclusive environment.
  • Support responsible gambling initiatives by identifying and escalating concerns where appropriate.
  • Award customer bonuses and account credits in line with company procedures.
  • Work to agreed KPIs, quality standards and service levels.
  • Assist with testing, trials and projects that enhance the Live Bingo customer experience.

What We're Looking For

Essential

  • Experience in a customer service, hospitality, entertainment, community or customer facing environment.
  • Excellent written communication skills with strong grammar and attention to detail.
  • Confident typing and multitasking abilities.
  • Strong computer literacy and the ability to manage multiple systems simultaneously.
  • A genuine passion for customer engagement and creating memorable experiences.
  • The ability to adapt your communication style to a wide range of customers and situations.

Desirable

  • Knowledge of bingo, gaming or online communities.
  • Experience moderating online forums, communities or social channels.
  • Experience hosting online events, activities or customer engagement initiatives.

Additional Requirements

  • Full flexibility to work shifts between 9:00am and Midnight, including evenings, weekends and peak trading periods.
  • Occasional travel to Buzz Bingo Clubs to support events, promotions, training and community initiatives.
