MDF Engineers
Location: London and Birmingham

We are currently recruiting experienced MDF Engineers to support major telecoms exchange projects. This is an excellent opportunity for engineers with a strong background in exchange frame work, voice compaction and circuit recovery who are looking for long-term projects with strong earning potential. You will play a key role in supporting the migration, recovery and rationalisation of legacy telecoms infrastructure within live exchange environments.

The Role

As an MDF Engineer, you will be responsible for carrying out a range of exchange-based activities, including:

· MDF jumpering and tie pair connections
· Installing, modifying and recovering circuits on exchange frames
· Voice compaction and legacy circuit recovery work
· Identifying, tracing and testing copper pairs
· Jumper recovery and network rearrangement activities
· Supporting exchange recovery and infrastructure rationalisation projects
· Maintaining high standards of safety, quality and accuracy
· Working efficiently within live telecoms exchange environments
· Completing clear and accurate job records and documentation

What We're Looking For

We are seeking reliable and motivated engineers who have previous experience working within telecoms exchange environments and are confident carrying out MDF activities to a high standard.

Candidates should have:

· Proven experience carrying out MDF and exchange frame work
· Experience in voice compaction, circuit recovery and network rearrangement projects
· Strong knowledge of copper network infrastructure and exchange procedures
· The ability to work effectively as part of a two-person team
· Experience within Openreach or similar telecoms networks
· A full UK driving licence
· The ability to work on a price-work basis
