Role Summary
We are seeking a highly organised and proactive Civils Coordinator to join our expanding Swindon team. This is a critical role responsible for the planning and coordination of civils activities that support fibre network installations.
You will play an integral part in ensuring projects are delivered safely, compliantly, and on schedule.
Key Responsibilities
- Liaise effectively with local authorities regarding permitting and traffic management
- Open, manage, and close notices/permits using the AFS system
- Plan, coordinate, and monitor civils activity across multiple workstreams
- Work closely with the Civils Management Team to ensure full compliance with local authority requirements
- Collate, validate, and process field documentation and reports
- Maintain accurate engineer whereabouts and scheduling information
- Communicate professionally with clients, internal teams, subcontractors, and third parties
About You – Skills & Experience
· Don’t be put off if you have no experience. You can apply for this role as a Trainee.
- Previous experience in a similar role within the telecoms or utilities sector
- Strong written English (Essential)
- Confident verbal communication skills (Essential)
- Confident IT user, competent with Microsoft Windows, Word, Excel, and Outlook (Essential)
- Experience working on Openreach projects (desirable)
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities
