Full job description

Evening Logistics Operations Support

Shift pattern of 4.30pm - Midnight on a 4 on, 4 off basis, which averages out to 26 hours and 15 minutes per week.

Devizes / Hybrid Working

Training would need to be provided throughout the working day over a 4-6 week period so you will need to bare than in mind with your application. This will be between the hours of 9am-5pm

Permanent Full time
4 on 4 off shift pattern
4.30pm - Midnight - 7.5 hours per shift

Bank Holidays are included within the shift pattern and will be paid at 1.5 x hourly rate.

Overview

Are you organised, can prioritise your workload, work well under pressure, can multitask operational duties, strong communicator and good system/IT skills?

This is a fast-paced and rewarding role within a busy same-day logistics environment, supporting national customers and ensuring our operations continue to run smoothly outside of standard business hours.

This position offers hybrid working; however, applicants must be based locally to Devizes to allow for in-office training, team collaboration, and ongoing updates regarding customer requirements and operational processes.

This role would suit someone who thrives under pressure, enjoys problem-solving, communicates confidently, and can work independently while maintaining excellent attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities

  • Managing multiple operational email inboxes
  • Handling customer enquiries via phone and email professionally
  • Allocating and monitoring courier work across the UK
  • Tracking collections and deliveries to ensure SLA performance
  • Liaising with drivers, suppliers, and customers regarding live operational updates
  • Pricing and quoting transport requirements
  • Monitoring our Transport Management System to ensure jobs remain on track
  • Prioritising workloads effectively in a fast-moving operational environment
  • Supporting the wider operations team with out-of-hours coverage
