Job Overview

We are currently recruiting for a diligent and detail-orientated Weighbridge Operator to play a key role in ensuring the efficient, safe and accurate weighing of vehicles entering and leaving our High Wycombe site.

This is a fabulous opportunity to join a family-run business and a friendly, established and close-knit team, where your personal growth and development will be supported and encouraged.

Responsibilities

  • Operate the Weighbridge in line with company procedures;
  • Accurately record vehicle weights, load details and customer information;
  • Issue tickets and other documentation as required;
  • Direct all vehicles from the Weighbridge to their pre-tipping/loading point.
  • Liaise with drivers and site staff in a courteous and professional manner;
  • Ensure compliance with all health, safety, environmental and quality standards;
  • Answer the phone to customers and deal with their requests in a friendly, courteous manner;
  • Support site operations by monitoring vehicle movements and ensuring site rules are followed.

Skills

  • Previous experience in a weighbridge or similar role is desirable, but not essential;
  • Strong attention to detail with a focus on accuracy and compliance;
  • Good IT skills;
  • Strong communication skills;
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise tasks in a busy environment;
  • Commitment to health, safety and environmental standards.
