Consultant Ophthalmologist – Private Sector - Substantive

Location: Bristol

Hours: Part-time or Full-time

Salary: Up to £150,000 + Benefits

Contract: Substantive Role

About the Role:

You will:

  • Deliver high-quality outpatient and surgical ophthalmology care
  • Perform procedures including:
  • High-volume cataracts, phacoemulsification under topical anaesthesia (essential)
  • Eyelid surgery
  • Laser treatment
  • Provide expert assessments and diagnostics, including:
  • Slit-lamp examination
  • Gonioscopy
  • Fundoscopy
  • Tonometry
  • Refraction
  • Contribute to clinical governance, audits, and continual service improvement

What You’ll Need:

  • GMC registration with entry on the Specialist Register in Ophthalmology
