We are a precision optics solutions company based in Dunfermline, offering highly specialized expertise in optical, mechanical, electrical, software and systems integration. This is an exciting time to join the company as we undergo a significant capital investment in our new state-of-the-art plant and with ambitious plans to grow the organization.

Our Optical Manufacturing Technicians support aspects relating to the manufacture and development of new and existing manufacturing methods considering quality, efficiency, tooling, cost, and process flow. Your knowledge and experience will be key to building and maintaining a successful organisation.

We are looking for individuals who maintain a positive culture of mutual respect and dignity, whilst working to develop and foster good working relationships with colleagues, contracted personnel and customers.

Responsibilities

  • Precision grinding and polishing of optical surfaces
  • Lens centering and alignment
  • Surface finishing techniques
  • Optical coating processes (anti-reflective, dielectric, mirror coatings)
  • Handling fragile and ultra-clean optical components
  • Interferometry
  • Microscopy and defect inspection
