Our fully serviced estate offers 24-hour Security, Concierge and Guest Services, alongside a range of premium facilities including The Orchard Spa, gym, tennis courts, lakeside restaurant, nature trails and watersports. Every detail of the estate is carefully maintained to provide an outstanding environment for our residents and guests.

The Role…

We are looking for a passionate and enthusiastic Gardener to join our Estate Landscaping team.

Reporting to the Estate Landscaping Manager, you will play an important role in maintaining the exceptional presentation of our estate's landscaped gardens and grounds. Working across a variety of locations including our Manor House, Spa, Estate Office, Restaurant, apartment buildings, cabins and communal areas, you'll ensure our planting schemes remain healthy, attractive and maintained to the highest standards.

This is a varied, hands-on role where no two days are the same. Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining flower beds, borders and landscaped areas to an exceptional standard.
  • Weeding, pruning, edging and caring for ornamental shrubs, grasses and hedging.
  • Watering and monitoring planters and irrigation systems.
  • Replacing seasonal planting where required.
  • Applying mulch and maintaining the health of planted areas.
  • Keeping pathways and outdoor spaces clean and presentable through litter picking and leaf blowing.
  • Supporting the wider Landscaping team with seasonal gardening projects and general estate maintenance.

This is a full-time, permanent position working 37.5 hours per week. The successful candidate will work every Friday, Saturday and Sunday, with two consecutive days off during the week as part of the rota. Hours of work are 07.30 - 1600.

The Person

We're looking for someone who takes real pride in creating beautiful outdoor spaces.

You'll be reliable, hardworking and enjoy working outdoors in all weather conditions. You will have a keen eye for detail, be able to work independently as well as part of a team, and be committed to delivering the high standards expected across our luxury estate.

You'll also have:

  • Previous experience in gardening, horticulture or estate maintenance.
  • Good plant knowledge and an understanding of seasonal maintenance.
  • Experience using gardening equipment and maintenance tools.
  • A Chainsaw (NPTC/LANTRA) qualification is preferred.
  • PA1 & PA6 spraying certificates are preferred, or a willingness to obtain these qualifications with support from the business.
  • A proactive approach and excellent time management skills.
  • A full UK driving licence.
  • A positive, flexible attitude and willingness to support the wider estate team when required.

The Rewards

  • Competitive salary
  • 25 days annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Company pension
  • Staff uniform
  • Free on-site parking
  • Training and development opportunities, including support to gain industry qualifications where appropriate
  • Opportunity to work within one of the UK's most unique luxury private estates
  • Supportive team environment with opportunities for development

Next Steps

If you're passionate about horticulture and would like to be part of maintaining one of the Cotswolds' most beautiful private estates, we'd love to hear from you.

Please apply with your CV and tell us a little about yourself, why this role interests you, and your current notice period.
