Job Summary
The Lakes by Yoo is exclusive private development, spread across 850 acres of woodland, meadows & lakes in the Cotswold water park. Established for over 15 years, we build unique, luxury lakefront and woodland second homes. The estate also includes the Award-winning Orchard Spa, and numerous clubhouse buildings. The Estate is fully serviced with 24hr security, Concierge and Guest Services team to help with all resident and guest requests. The Estate is home to several facilities including a full-service spa and gym, tennis courts, restaurant and a zip activities hub. The restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch & dinner, offers a relaxed and casual atmosphere with high quality fresh food, a rustic interior design and stunning lakeside views

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Assistant Restaurant Manager to oversee the

daily operations and overall performance of The Lakes Bar & Kitchen and future projects. The ideal candidate will be a hospitality professional with a passion for creating memorable guest experiences, strong leadership skills, and a focus on operational efficiency. You will ensure that the restaurant operates smoothly, meets its financial goals, and consistently delivers high-quality food, beverages, and service.

Key Responsibilities

- Oversee all day-to-day restaurant operations when on duty, ensuring exceptional guest experiences

- Assist in managing restaurant reservations, seating plans, and flow of service.

- maintain high standards for food, beverage, and customer service.

- Oversee the maintenance and cleanliness of the restaurant, ensuring all health and safety regulations are strictly followed.

- Resolve any operational issues swiftly and efficiently.

- Manage a team of front-of-house staff

- Lead and motivate the team to consistently deliver excellent service, ensuring all staff are well-trained and adhering to restaurant policies.

- Manage and issue staff rotas, ensuring appropriate staffing levels to meet business needs.

- Oversee inventory management and supplier relations to ensure optimal stock levels and cost-effective purchasing.

- Assist with management on ensuring staff are updated and knowledgeable of the menus.

- Work with the compliance officer and management to ensure the restaurant is compliant in all health, safety, and food hygiene regulations.

- Assist with regular safety inspections and maintain a clean, safe working environment for staff and guests.

- Assist in making sure licenses, permits, and certifications are up to date.

- Work with management on overseeing restaurant events, private bookings, and seasonal activities.

- Deputise in the absence of the restaurant manager

Required Qualifications

- Proven experience in Restaurant Management or in a similar senior leadership role in the hospitality industry.

- Strong knowledge of food and beverage operations, including restaurant financial management, inventory control, and supplier relations.

- Excellent leadership and team management skills with a focus on staff development.

- Strong customer service skills with the ability to resolve issues diplomatically and professionally.

- Solid understanding of health and safety regulations in the hospitality industry.

- Experience with restaurant management software (e.g., POS systems, inventory management).

- Strong problem-solving abilities and attention to detail.

- Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

Pay: From £35,000.00 per year
