Job summary

Candor Vets is working with an established veterinary practice in Helston, Cornwall to find a Veterinary Surgeon on a full-time basis. The role is centred on first-opinion small animal work with strong nurse support and protected CPD funding.

Responsibilities

- Provide clinical consultations, routine surgery and post-operative care for small animal patients.

- Collaborate with veterinary nurses and support staff to ensure efficient clinic workflows and high standards of care.

- Develop clinical interests and participate in practice-led training.

Hours and rota

- Contracted as a full-time, four-day working week.

- 1:4 Saturday mornings; no out-of-hours on-call duties.

Requirements

- Full registration with the RCVS.

- Experience in first-opinion small animal practice desirable; enthusiasm for ongoing professional development expected.

Team and development

- Small, supportive team with nurse-led clinic support and opportunities to pursue certificates or CPD-supported interests.
