Full job description

Digital Marketing & Client Services Executive

Location: Pontardawe
Hours: Part-time initially, with progression to full-time
Salary: Negotiable depending on experience
Start Date: Within the next 2 months

About the Role

We are looking for a motivated, organised and commercially minded Digital Marketing & Client Services Executive to join our young, dynamic and growing team.

This is a varied role combining digital marketing, SEO, Google Ads, social media management and day-to-day client booking administration.

A key objective of the position is to strengthen our in-house digital marketing capability. We currently outsource much of our SEO and PPC/Google Ads activity, and we are looking for someone with the knowledge and practical experience to help bring this in-house, improve our online visibility and generate more high-quality enquiries.

Alongside marketing, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of our events office, including managing client bookings, responding to enquiries, preparing quotations and assisting with staff and event planning.

The position will initially be part-time, with the intention of developing into a full-time position as the role and our businesses continue to grow.

About Us

Our main business operates within the events and entertainment industry, supplying custom games, interactive entertainment, inflatable attractions and branded event experiences to clients throughout the UK.

We work across a diverse range of events, including corporate events, exhibitions, conferences, festivals, public events and brand activations.

We have an extensive and continually developing range of products, with a particular focus on creating unique, custom-branded entertainment and engagement solutions for our clients.

Our wider group also operates businesses within event catering, hospitality and leisure, including a coffee shop and an adventure golf course.

You will therefore have the opportunity to work across several very different brands and industries, both from a marketing and administrative perspective.

We are a young, dynamic and growing team, and we are looking for someone who wants to become an important part of that continued growth.

Digital Marketing & SEO

A significant part of the role will involve taking greater ownership of our digital marketing activity across the group.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Developing and implementing our SEO strategy
  • Improving organic Google rankings for commercially important keywords
  • Carrying out keyword and competitor research
  • Identifying new search opportunities for our products and services
  • On-page SEO, including page titles, meta descriptions, headings, internal linking and content optimisation
  • Creating and optimising website pages, landing pages and blog content
  • Monitoring website rankings and organic search performance
  • Identifying technical SEO issues and liaising with website providers where required
  • Using Google Search Console and Google Analytics to monitor performance
  • Identifying opportunities to increase website traffic, enquiries and conversions
  • Helping develop the wider digital marketing strategy across the group

Google Ads / PPC

We currently outsource our PPC activity and would like to gradually bring more of this expertise in-house.

The successful candidate will ideally have hands-on experience with Google Ads / Google AdWords, including:

  • Creating and managing Google Ads campaigns
  • Keyword research and selection
  • Campaign and ad group structure
  • Negative keyword management
  • Creating and testing advertising copy
  • Managing campaign budgets
  • Monitoring cost-per-click and cost-per-conversion
  • Conversion tracking
  • Optimising campaigns based on performance
  • Identifying underperforming campaigns and opportunities for improvement
  • Reporting on advertising spend, leads and return on investment

We are particularly interested in finding someone who understands that successful PPC isn't simply about generating clicks — the objective is to generate genuine, profitable enquiries and bookings.

Social Media & Online Marketing

You will also take responsibility for helping manage and develop our social media presence across the different businesses within the group.

This will include:

  • Planning and scheduling regular social media content
  • Managing company social media accounts
  • Creating engaging posts around our events, products, installations and businesses
  • Using content from live events to showcase our work
  • Growing engagement, reach and followers across relevant platforms
  • Responding to or directing enquiries generated through social media
  • Supporting paid social media advertising where appropriate
  • Identifying new content and campaign opportunities
  • Ensuring our different brands maintain an active and professional online presence

This is not primarily a graphic design role. While having an eye for good content and presentation is beneficial, we are much more interested in someone who understands SEO, paid advertising, social media, lead generation and how digital marketing contributes to sales.

Client Bookings & Office Administration

Alongside marketing, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of our events office.

Responsibilities will include:

  • Managing day-to-day client bookings from initial enquiry through to confirmed booking
  • Responding to new enquiries by email and telephone
  • Understanding client requirements and recommending suitable products where appropriate
  • Preparing and sending client quotations
  • Following up enquiries and outstanding quotations
  • Confirming bookings and ensuring all relevant information has been obtained
  • Liaising with clients regarding event requirements, access, timings and other booking details
  • Maintaining accurate booking information within our internal systems
  • Updating calendars, booking systems and internal records
  • Ensuring relevant information is passed to the operational team ahead of events
  • Assisting with staff planning and scheduling for upcoming events
  • General office administration
  • Supporting the management team with day-to-day administrative tasks
  • Providing administrative support across the wider group of businesses when required

Good organisation will be essential, as you may be dealing with multiple enquiries, confirmed events and marketing projects at the same time.

About You

We are looking for someone who combines digital marketing knowledge with strong organisation and communication skills.

Ideally, you will have practical experience in some or all of the following:

  • SEO
  • Google Ads / Google AdWords
  • PPC campaign management
  • Google Analytics
  • Google Search Console
  • Keyword research
  • Website content optimisation
  • Social media management
  • Paid social advertising
  • Digital lead generation
  • Client/customer communication
  • Office administration or booking management

You should be:

  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicating with clients by telephone and email
  • Comfortable managing multiple priorities
  • Commercially minded and interested in generating measurable results
  • Able to work independently and take ownership of projects
  • Analytical and comfortable reviewing marketing data
  • Proactive and willing to suggest new ideas
  • Comfortable working within a busy and fast-moving environment
  • Keen to learn about our different products and businesses
  • Willing to get involved and help across the business when required

Formal marketing qualifications would be beneficial but are not essential. For us, practical knowledge, enthusiasm and evidence of what you have actually achieved are more important.

What We're Looking to Achieve

This isn't a role where we simply want someone to maintain what we're already doing.

We want someone who can help us improve and grow our digital presence, particularly within our core events business.

Over time, we want to:

  • Bring more of our SEO expertise in-house
  • Take greater control of our Google Ads campaigns
  • Improve our organic Google rankings
  • Generate more high-quality enquiries through our websites
  • Improve the conversion of website visitors into genuine bookings
  • Develop a stronger and more consistent social media presence
  • Better measure which marketing activity is actually generating business
  • Develop our digital marketing strategy across the wider group

For the right person, there is considerable scope to take ownership of this area and develop the position as the company grows.

What We Offer

  • Part-time position initially, with the intention of progressing to full-time
  • Salary negotiable depending on experience
  • A varied role combining marketing, client services and administration
  • The opportunity to work across several different businesses and brands
  • Genuine responsibility for SEO, Google Ads and digital marketing
  • The opportunity to help bring our currently outsourced marketing activity in-house
  • A role within a young, dynamic and growing team
  • A fast-moving working environment where no two days are the same
  • Opportunity to introduce your own ideas and influence how we market the businesses
  • Scope for the role and responsibilities to grow over time

How to Apply

If you have hands-on experience with SEO, Google Ads and social media, combined with strong organisational and communication skills, we'd like to hear from you.

Please send us your CV and a covering letter outlining your relevant experience.

We would be particularly interested to hear about examples of:

  • SEO improvements or rankings you have achieved
  • Google Ads campaigns you have personally managed
  • Social media accounts or campaigns you have grown
  • Improvements in website traffic, enquiries or conversions you have delivered
  • Previous experience dealing with clients, bookings or enquiries

We are looking to recruit within the next two months and will be speaking to suitable candidates as applications are received.

Pay: £12.71-£15.00 per hour

Expected hours: 16.0 – 40.0 per week

Benefits:

  • Casual dress
  • Company events
  • Company pension
  • Employee discount
