Optima Health and Social Care Ltd are looking to recruit Complex Care Support Worker to join our teams based in St Helens area. The role is to support a lovely young lady in her family home & occasional days in school who lives with parents and family, working 10hr 'waking' night shifts (over 5-7 nights per week) & the occasional day in school (currently 4.25hrs during Term Time)

The young lady who is 5 years old, has clinical & complex health & social needs, which means dedicated, conscientious & reliable support workers are required covering both 'waking' night & the odd day shift in Term Time, to enable parents the rest & respite they require.

We are looking for people who are either:

  • Experienced in supporting children and young people with complex health and additional needs (desirable). FULL training is given to the right candidate through our In House - Nurse Trainer Practitioners.
  • Wanting to work with young children within the family home & school setting
  • Trustworthy and have a positive can do attitude required
  • Thrive on regularity and routine

The Applicant:

  • Flexibility to work waking nights, 10 hr shifts which may include weekend nights in the future. (Not every weekend) & the odd school 'day' shift - All shifts shared with team on a Rota basis, which you will receive in advance.
  • Be able to use mobile apps?, required to access all the young lady's Care Plans which are needed to complete work tasks & Training. (Legal documents)
  • Have the natural ability to be caring & passionate about supporting children
  • Be reliable, prepared to learn new skills and knowledge.
  • Previously worked 'waking nights' (not sleep ins!) - Essential to keep the Service User safe & healthy.
