Full Time – 40 hours per week

Salary

£35,000 - £40,000 (Depending on experience)

Job Purpose

The Deputy HR Manager will support the HR Manager in delivering a professional, compliant and efficient Human Resources service across Rhythmic Care UK Ltd.

The role supports a workforce of over 300 employees delivering Domiciliary Care, Supported Living and Children's Services, ensuring recruitment, workforce planning, employee relations and HR compliance are delivered in line with UK employment legislation, CQC, Ofsted and Home Office requirements.

The Deputy HR Manager will work closely with Registered Managers, Operations Managers and senior leadership to maintain a skilled, engaged and compliant workforce.

Key Responsibilities

HR Operations

  • Support the HR Manager in implementing the company's HR strategy and deputise during periods of absence.
  • Provide day-to-day HR advice to managers on employment matters.
  • Supervise HR Officers and Administrators.
  • Maintain accurate HR records and always ensure confidentiality.
  • Support workforce planning to meet business growth and staffing requirements.

Recruitment & Onboarding

  • Coordinate recruitment campaigns across all services.
  • Manage safer recruitment processes, including DBS, references, Right to Work and employment checks.
  • Support overseas recruitment and Skilled Worker sponsorship compliance.
  • Oversee induction and onboarding to ensure new employees meet regulatory requirements.
  • Monitor recruitment performance and staffing vacancies.

Employee Relations

  • Support managers with disciplinary, grievance, absence, capability and performance management processes.
  • Promote positive employee engagement and wellbeing.
  • Assist with conflict resolution and encourage best HR practice across the organisation.

Compliance

  • Ensure HR practices comply with:
  • UK Employment Law
  • CQC Regulations
  • Ofsted requirements
  • GDPR
  • Equality Act 2010
  • Health & Safety legislation
  • Home Office Sponsor Licence requirements
  • Maintain compliance records for DBS, Right to Work, visas and mandatory training.

Learning & Development

  • Coordinate mandatory and role-specific training with the training Manager.
  • Monitor training compliance across all services.
  • Support career development and succession planning initiatives.

HR Reporting

  • Produce monthly reports on:
  • Recruitment
  • Staff turnover
  • Sickness absence
  • Training compliance
  • Employee relations
  • Workforce statistics
  • Analyse HR data and recommend improvements to workforce performance and retention.

Person Specification

Essential

  • CIPD Level 5 qualification (or working towards).
  • Minimum 4 years' HR experience, preferably within Health & Social Care.
  • Experience supporting a workforce of 300+ employees.
  • Sound knowledge of UK Employment Law and HR best practice.
  • Experience managing recruitment, employee relations and HR compliance.
  • Strong communication, organisational and problem-solving skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and HR management systems.
  • Ability to manage confidential information with discretion.

Desirable

  • Degree in Human Resources or Business Management.
  • Experience with Skilled Worker Sponsorship and UKVI compliance.
  • Experience within Domiciliary Care, Supported Living or Children's Services.
  • Full UK Driving Licence.

  • Recruitment turnaround times.
  • Staff retention and turnover rates.
  • Compliance with DBS, Right to Work and mandatory training.
  • Timely resolution of employee relations cases.
  • HR audit outcomes.
  • Employee engagement and absence management.
  • Sponsor Licence compliance.
