Job Description:

Amber is an independent neighbourhood restaurant in East London inspired by Middle Eastern & Mediteranean flavours. We focus on thoughtful cooking, warm hospitality and a lively dining room built around a small, close-knit team.

We are looking for a hands-on Restaurant Manager to lead the floor, support the team and help drive the restaurant forward.

This is a 48-hour contract. We monitor hours closely and expect managers to work broadly within their contracted hours. If additional hours are occasionally required due to the needs of the business, we adjust rotas accordingly to maintain a fair balance.

  • Supporting and developing the front-of-house team
  • Working closely with the kitchen to maintain smooth service flow
  • Driving sales naturally during service
  • Managing rotas and helping maintain efficient labour levels
  • Maintaining high standards of organisation and presentation

This is a working floor role suited to someone who enjoys being part of service, not an office-based management position.

What We Are Looking For

  • Previous experience as a Restaurant Manager or strong Assistant Manager
  • Comfortable working service and supporting the team when needed
  • Strong presence on the floor and natural guest interaction
  • Ability to lead a small team during busy services
  • Commercial awareness and understanding of restaurant performance
  • Passion for hospitality, food and drinks

Experience in independent restaurants is highly valued. This is a hands-on role within a small independent team.

Salary & Benefits

  • £44,000-50,000 salary depending on experience
  • iIncluding Service charge
  • Staff meals
  • Opportunity to grow within the group

Amber is part of the same group as Ara Restaurant, newly established neighbourhood restaurant nearby.
