About Icebox

Founded in 1993, Icebox is one of London's leading ice suppliers, delivering premium ice products and bespoke ice sculptures to bars, restaurants, hotels, venues, festivals and major events across the UK. Our clients include The Savoy, The Ivy and Gordon Ramsay's restaurants.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations Manager, you'll run the day-to-day transport operation, taking ownership of everything leaving the warehouse. You'll plan and route deliveries, supervise drivers and subcontractors, manage the fleet and make sure every delivery gets where it needs to be, on time.

It's a fast-paced, hands-on role where priorities can change quickly, particularly during busy periods and hot weather. We're looking for someone organised, decisive and calm under pressure who enjoys taking responsibility and leading a team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with transport planning, routing or dispatch experience who is ready to take the next step.

What You'll Do

  • Plan and schedule ice and sculpture deliveries and collections
  • Process orders received by phone and email
  • Monitor drivers and keep routes running efficiently
  • Manage driver rotas, subcontractors and daily briefings
  • Oversee vehicle checks, servicing, repairs, MOTs and general upkeep
  • Monitor driver standards, paperwork and compliance
  • Quote standard deliveries and sculpture delivery charges
  • Handle customer delivery queries and complaints
  • Manage PCNs, Congestion Charge and ULEZ payments
  • Liaise with Sales, Events and Accounts
  • Support driver training and development
  • Provide out-of-hours and weekend cover on a rota

What We're Looking For

  • At least 2 years' experience in transport planning, routing, dispatch or a transport office
  • Strong knowledge of London's roads, restrictions and delivery routes
  • Experience of vehicle/fleet management
  • Confident using Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Full UK Category B licence with no more than 3 points
  • Aged 25+ for insurance purposes
  • Right to work in the UK and fluent English
  • Comfortable with early starts, late finishes and weekend work during peak periods
