JOB PURPOSE:

To support the Project Services Director in the end-to-end delivery and coordination of the Northern Gas Networks (NGN) Pipeline Clearance project. This role is pivotal in driving project progress by coordinating onsite surveyors, securing landowner permissions, managing subcontractor delivery and maintaining real-time CRM/database systems to ensure works are delivered safely, on time, within budget and to high quality standards.

KEY MANAGEMENT RESPONSIBILITIES

Operational Delivery & Subcontractor Management

  • Coordinate day-to-day operations for the NGN pipeline easement clearance project across multiple work sites across the North of the UK.
  • Manage sub-contractor teams, specialist arborists and machinery operators to ensure output aligns with project targets.
  • Act as the primary liaison between internal teams, site surveyors, sub-contractors and NGN project stakeholders.
  • Review work packages, monitor daily site output reports and verify work completion prior to payment releases.

Landowner Liaison & Access Coordination

  • Collaborate directly with onsite surveyors to identify land parcels and determine access requirements.
  • Engage directly with landowners to negotiate and secure land access permissions and consent forms prior to site mobilisation.
  • Proactively resolve landowner queries or disputes to prevent site delays and avoid abortive demobilisation costs.

CRM Data Management & System Administration

  • Develop and maintain the day-to-day accuracy of the CRM system and NGN database tracker.
  • Ensure all survey findings, site photos, digital consent forms and daily cut reports are uploaded accurately for client audit readiness.
  • Utilize mapping tools (e.g., Google Earth, GIS) and field reporting software to build work packages and track work in progress.

Commercial & Financial Support

  • Assist in preparing accurate work package estimates based on pre-start survey data and agreed linear rate cards.
  • Monitor site variations, scope changes and non-standard site conditions, escalating issues for formal client instruction where required.
  • Support weekly cost sign-offs and monthly KPI reporting for operational management meetings.

HSEQ Management & Compliance

  • Ensure all field operations comply with ISO standards (9001/14001/45001), CDM 2015 regulations and environmental guidelines.
  • Review Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS) for complex vegetation management activities.
  • Ensure subcontractor teams maintain statutory compliance, safety accreditations, and relevant operator licenses
