Full job description

We are currently recruiting Production Operatives for our client, one of the UK's leading pork processors.

Location: Billet Lane, Scunthorpe, DN15

Pay: £12.85 per hour
Overtime: £16.06 per hour

Contract: Temporary to Permanent opportunities available

This is an excellent opportunity to join a busy bacon manufacturing facility, with immediate starts, paid training, competitive pay and opportunities for ongoing work and career progression.

No previous production or food manufacturing experience is required, as full training will be provided.

Shift Patterns

Full-Time Opportunities:

Shift A:
Monday to Wednesday, 6:00am – 6:00pm
£12.85 per hour

Shift B:
Thursday to Saturday, 6:00am – 6:00pm
£12.85 per hour + £3.02 per hour Saturday uplift

Flexible/Ad Hoc Work:
Flexible working is available. Candidates must be able to work a minimum of 2 days per week, Monday to Saturday, on 12-hour shifts.

Overtime: £16.06 per hour

Key Responsibilities

Handling raw sliced bacon according to customer specifications

Loading raw bacon into trays

Feeding and servicing the production line

Packing and labelling finished products

Stacking and palletising boxes

Supplying ingredients and packaging to the production line

Following Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and product specifications

Maintaining high standards of food safety, quality and hygiene

Carrying out general production and hygiene duties

Working safely and efficiently within a fast-paced manufacturing environment

Following Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP)

Requirements

We are looking for candidates who are:

Reliable, punctual and flexible

Able to work in a fast-paced production environment

Comfortable working as part of a team

Able to follow written and verbal instructions

Detail-oriented with a good eye for quality

Committed to maintaining high standards of hygiene and food safety

Physically able to carry out production duties

Previous experience is not required – full paid training is provided.
