Full job description

Job Summary:

To delight the customer by delivering the ‘best Gingerbread in the world’ through expert baking skills, maintaining high quality standards, and ensuring consistency in our baking processes and procedures.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Oven work
  • Baking product
  • Packaging product
  • Cleaning of work areas
  • Quality control
  • Adhere to food safety regulations and guidelines
  • Off-loading of deliveries

Days of work: Full-time - 5 days, 1 day will be a weekend day (days discussed at interview)

Hours of work: 40hrs a week. 7:30am - 4:30pm or 8:30am - 5:30pm (1-hour lunch)

Rate of pay: £14.00 per hour (age 23 and over)

Length of contract: Permanent, rate of pay increasing to £14.50 following successful probationary period.

Suitable Candidate:

  • Baking/kitchen experience
  • Reliable, flexible and dependable
  • Can work as part of a small team in a limited and fast paced environment
  • Presentable for working in a food production environment and adhere to such legislation
  • A positive ‘can-do’ attitude
  • Able to work to deadlines
  • Good communication skills
  • The role involves some heavy lifting and taking in deliveries so a good level of health and fitness is required for this position.
