The operation supports major car manufacturers through expertise in lightweight materials, plastics engineering, and emissions-related systems, while contributing to next-generation, lower-emission mobility solutions.

Job Description

As the Paint Process Engineer you will be tasked with the following;

  • Manage the paint process workflow to ensure quality and efficiency in production.
  • Lead paint material supplier management.
  • Analyse and resolve technical issues related to painting equipment and processes.
  • Develop and implement process improvements to enhance output and reduce waste.
  • Monitor compliance with health, safety, and environmental standards in the paint department.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies and methodologies.
  • Provide technical support and training to ensure operational excellence.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation related to paint processes and equipment maintenance.
  • Assist in the evaluation and selection of materials and equipment for paint applications.

The Successful Applicant

A successful Paint Process Engineer should have:

  • A degree or equivalent qualification in engineering, manufacturing, or a related field. (Chemical or Material science is desirable)
  • Experience in paint processes within an industrial/manufacturing environment.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with a focus on process optimisation.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and environmental regulations relevant to manufacturing.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with teams across various departments.
  • A proactive approach to continuous improvement and innovation.

  • Competitive salary range of £40,000 to £50,000 per annum.

  • 33 days of annual leave (incl. bank holidays) for a healthy work-life balance.
  • Working hours: Monday to Thursday (8 hours + 30 min unpaid break) and Friday (5.5 hours).
  • Flexible start times (between 7:30am-9:30am)
