Job Summary

ESS Scotland Ltd is a growing construction and maintenance company, and due to continued expansion we are looking to recruit an experienced Painter & Decorator to join our team.

This is a full-time, permanent position offering consistent work across a variety of commercial projects throughout Scotland.

Responsibilities

  • Carry out all aspects of painting and decorating to a high standard.
  • Prepare surfaces including filling, sanding, stripping and priming.
  • Apply emulsion, gloss, satin, stains and specialist coatings.
  • Hang wallpaper and carry out decorative finishes where required.
  • Work on commercial refurbishment, reactive maintenance and fit-out projects.
  • Protect surrounding areas and maintain a clean, safe working environment.
  • Complete work within agreed timescales while maintaining excellent quality.
  • Work independently and as part of a team.
  • Communicate professionally with clients, site managers and colleagues.

Essential Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Painter & Decorator.
  • Full UK driving licence.
  • Good attention to detail and pride in workmanship.
  • Ability to work independently and use initiative.
  • Reliable, punctual and professional attitude.
  • CSCS card (preferred).

Desirable

  • Experience working on commercial properties.
  • IPAF or PASMA certification (advantageous but not essential).
